LIFE CYCLE SUPPORT
AST has performed tasks related to Life Cycle Support (LCS) since our incorporation in 1984. We have successfully provided LCS in all phases of the Department of Defense Acquisition Management Process as a prime contractor and/or subcontractor on a wide variety of systems.
Our early support was primarily in the development, testing, and Post Deployment Software Support of Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems and Aviation related software systems for the US Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM). We then began providing LCS for training systems for the US Army in 1992 and continue providing that support for several contractual efforts for PEO STRI activities under the Warfighter FOCUS and Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT) Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) contracts. Specifically, under the Warfigher FOCUS Sustainable Range Program (SRP) we operate and maintain the Combined Arms Collective Training Facilities (CACTF) and Automated Shoot Houses (ASH) Ranges at Ft. Stewart, Georgia and Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin. In addition, we maintain the light wheel fleet for the Operations Group at the National Training Center, Ft. Irwin, CA.
The CCTT is the first member of the Combined Arms Tactical Trainer (CATT) family of virtual simulators for collective training and AST has been responsible for providing all aspects of software support to CCTT and its projects/subsystems continually since 1999 to present day.
