U.S. Army FORSCOM

As a subcontractor to CACI Corporation under the FORSCOM Operations, Planning, Training and Resource Support Services (OPTARSS) contract, Advanced Systems Technology (AST) as part of Team CACI provides functional and technical support to meet the demands of the diverse and critical Battle Command Staff Training Program in support of the U.S. Army Reserve Command’s (USARC) mission.

AST provides subcontractor support to the USARC mission by providing planning, preparation, support, training, and realistic scenario driven distributed simulations based exercises for the 75th Battle Command Training Division (BCTD). Simulation models are distributed from five geographically dispersed Army Reserve Battle Projection Centers, covering a wide spectrum of constructive simulations within the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS) which provide the execution fidelity during training that Brigade and Battalion commanders and their staff’s desire. The training and exercises can be provided via landline (T-1) and/or via intranet (LAN/WAN) for CONUS wide Reserve Component Brigade and Battalion combat support and combat service support staffs and units.

Constructive simulation support includes:

  • Brigade/Battalion Battle Simulation (BBS)
  • Corps Battle Simulation (CBS)
  • Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (J-CATS) - (currently testing and once fielded)
  • Joint Defense Logistics Model (JDLM)
  • One Semi-Automated Force (OneSAF) - (currently testing and once fielded)

In addition to constructive simulations, AST personnel are assisting Reserve Component units in ABCS training, systems support, and exercise support and execution, which include:

  • All Source Analysis System – Light (ASAS-L)
  • Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)
  • Air and Missile Defense Work Station (AMDWS)
  • Battle Command Sustainment Support System (BCS3)
  • Command and Control – PC (C2PC) – A Marine Corps Product
  • Command Post of the Future (CPOF)
  • Maneuver Control System (MCS)

The training provided by AST as a member of Team CACI is an integral component to the overall Army Reserve training strategy. We provide units with expert training on ABCS systems that they may use once deployed in support of the War on Terror (WOT) or other operational or contingency requirements. This training provides commanders and staffs with trained and ready units capable of conducting contingency operations worldwide and the ability to win decisively on the modern battlefield.
