Q: What is the definition of a First Responder?
A: There are many definitions of a first responder.
Many people think that only emergency response technicians,
law enforcement personnel and firemen are considered to
be first responders. Actually anyone that responds to an
emergency is regarded as a first responder. This includes
volunteer citizens, as well as professionals.
Q: Are any of the courses accredited?
A: For continuing education, the International
Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) has approved
the Security courses and will issue a certification upon
completion of each course. The Counsel
of Law Enforcement, Education & Training (CLEET),
(for Oklahoma users) has also approved the Law Enforcement
courses.
Q: What score must I achieve to pass a course?
A: All courses require a score of 70% on the final test
to receive a record of training.
Q: Do I get a record for my completed courses?
A: You will be able to print a record of training
indicating that you have successfully completed the courses.
Just go to the training center tab and click on "my
courses". Find the course(s) that you have completed,
click on the ribbon icon and print record of training.
Q: How can I get a certificate for completed courses?
A: Many of the Law Enforcement and all of the Security
courses have available certificates suitable for framing
for an additional fee of $10.00. For further information,

Q: Which browser must you use to run the web-based training?
A: You must use Internet Explorer, preferably IE6

Q: If I only want to take a few courses is the price
the same for the subscription?
A: All courses are available to you whether you take
all of the courses or not. Therefore, the subscription price
is the same.
